Your vision of a planet populated with a sea of humans and their domesticated animals dotted with only tiny Islands of wildlife is sadly one of replacing her beauty with... ugliness. That is not my vision at all. We can discuss my vision some other time. Most of the axe grinding on this issue is done by the left, the right is just reacting. Al Gore and a large cadre of the enviro crowd who have become lawyers argue for a particular view and ignore contradictory data. A good scientist would say, "we don't know" when it comes to several of these questions. Unfortunately, hubris and politics get in the way of honest inquiry.
