Hey BZZZZZ, whats shakin dude?

The play on SGP just got my butt outa da sling from the previous week, it didn't kill the average but it didn't help either. I had my sights set on 500% this year but unless a miracle happens tomorrow, it aint gonna happen. Maybe this is just a little too ambitious, but one can dream can't I? gg I will do the books this weekend and publish the results, minus the IRS parts!! gg

Yep, this has been one helluva year!!!!! Can't emphasize this tooooooo much, as I look back ----

The first time Berney gave me some (what he called charts I called garbage) 'charts', I threw them in the trash can and told my wife, "I'm not much of a gambler and I'm not going to start now!"

But Berney was PERSISTANT! He came to the house to EXPLIAIN the "charts"! The only thing I said all evening was "ugh hugh". I know he didn't leave with a warm feeling in his tummy!

But Berney was PERSISTANT! With my tax return he mailed me some more of those "charts" telling me how I couldn't possibly loose any money, just invest wisely don't you know. I dismissed it again.

But Berney was PERSISTANT! Paul, he said, "this is a no brainer, these companies have a sound FA behind them", "lets do it"! (I didn't even know what FA was)
Response from Paul, "yeah, ugh hugh, here's your coat Berney!"

But Berney was PERSISTANT! So my wife said "maybe there is something to it, lets go to his seminar." Tough to resist the wife. After the seminar and some more cajoling we decided to take $18K and "give it a go."

Then Berney was PATIENT! Especially when I told him he was crazy, trend lines were an aberration! I wanted to know how they worked, if they did. Berney says "You engineers always want to know how the bridge is built, -just walk across!"

But Berney was PATIENT! When I called and told him I was down about $4K, what should I do?" (I was SICK about the whole thing!) Stay the course TB replied, be patient. Not to be! But I tried again, and again.

But Berney was PATIENT! Time and again, I would enter early and bail early, sure that I was going to loose the house, the car and the dog (not to mention the wife)! Out of the blue Berney chastised me - "How can you do the same thing all the time and expect different results???" he yelled, I was incredluous, what was I doing wrong?

But Berney was PATIENT! From trend lines I grauduated to a real time quote system. Now I could see my losses in real time!! But little by little I began to eke out what MG affectionately calls "teenies", but the 1/16ths began to add up. Then I tried a big trade, and lost $6000 in one afternoon!

But Bernie was PATIENT! He explained to me that what I was crying about would perhaps make the difference between being up 350% or being up 400% this year.... "BIG deal" he exclaimed and hung up the phone on me!

This was the apparent end of Berney's patience! A little over a $100,000.00 this year and he became patient again, and now I have confidence in a system that a truly good friend led me into, fostered, nurtured, taught, and explained.

KB, I'm sure you've had a similar experience, but if you haven't yet this is just a sample what you are in for. I know of no one that has come in contact with this guy that hasn't had a similar experience! So get ready.

I was talking to Donna (his wife) during a real negative time period last year, and she said what Berney needed was a "Berney"! I have to agree with her, in fact I would recommend to everyone that they have a "Berney", and believe you me, it is a fantastic experience, in many, many respects not just trading on the stock market, and one with no negatives!

Well the year is just about over, and yeah it has been a fantastic year. KB, I sincerely hope that Berney has a great year next year and that you have a Berney!

CU, very respectfully and humble for the help of good FRIEND(s),

THE TRADING MACHINE

BZ, I hope you appreciate my initials for you of KB.

Clearly, your high risk, high return style is a mystery for me. Dealing with companies at PE multiples of their revenue is beyond my comprehension; however, I have watched with astonishment.

The nature of what I have done for a living is that I have had the personal pleasure to get to really know a few folks on this planet. In most cases, it's much like the play/movie "Same Time, Next Year." We all change over time and it really is fun to watch it happen.

It's tough to deal with the intensity of the getting in touch with the Market. This is probably why so many professionals cannot beat the Market. You are almost forced to bear your soul as you understand the flaws in your personality.

Bob, I thank you for letting me a share a part of your life in our two decade relationship. I know you have had your tough moments in the Market this year; however, I urge you to keep the eye on the prize. Nonetheless, as I always say to you: you could have been in a mutual fund!

Einstein was clearly correct in his statement that the compound interest formula was the most important formula ever created. It only has three factors and we we should all consider the relative importance of these three factors in our financial and personal future.

Unfortunately, the formula does not consider whether being an Indian Guide is of any importance. You got your priorities right!
