Since I installed the 6.52 Y2K CD a few weeks ago there have been some unpleasant side affects on MetaStock. The one that is bugging me now is that I can not get into the downloader. Since I have QP2 as my data provider I only use the downloader to create new folders and to delete securities. When I click on the downloader icon I get a message C:\EQUIS\the downloader\DLWin.exe The program or one of its components cannot be found. I can not find the exe file on my computer. If I install the 6.5, the file is on that and I can get into the downloader. When I reinstalled the 6.52 CD I again can not get into the downloader. I did not uninstall any MS programs, just installed over the existing software. My next move is to backup my folders and uninstall MS and reinstall. Before I do that I wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem after installing the 6.52 CD. I did query Equis on this and am waiting a reply. I don't have a lot of faith in their answers.
