I agree with your buddy, usually the options feed is first to take a hit when bandwidth becomes an issue (at least as far as I've seen with broadcast feeds), which is logical since options are the largest component of these feeds. When we go from 128k to 256k feed from Comstock, things will be better. But at the rate the markets are growing we may find in two or so years 256 isn't enough anymore and we'll need 512 or some such feed to handle all the data. Wasn't too long ago the 9600 baud was sufficient for all market data, after all.
