Tony, OT RE Values

Here in Florida, when folks are selling their homes, they always pray for a California transfer. The prices here look so cheap in comparison, the California people will often pay the asking price.

We can get you on the gulf with a small beach, about 3500 sq.ft., all amenities for about 750K. 2500 sq. ft. with pool & outdoor kitchen in great area, 10 minutes from the beach for less than 200K. An older, modest home, maybe 1800 sq. ft. a block or two from the beach for 130K. And the gulf temp gets down to about 65 in the winter, up to 89 in the summer.

Probably 1/2 of C. prices.

John

Re: "there are places in California, even within commuting distance of Silicon Valley that are reasonably priced, in Santa Cruz County, e.g."

And commute over Hwy 17? No thanks!
