all well thought-out market plays (or individual stock plays) are meaningless in a market that has no reason.

I'm seeing a lot of "since X now, then Y after the 1st -- tax selling, whatever."

But you can't put a "rational filter" on irrational behavior and expect it to be predictive.

Which doesn't mean you're wrong...only that it's a coin toss. And who in their right mind wants to bet significant capital on 50-50 (or worse...) odds??
