Hi Tom and fellow aimers....being an ole AIQ user along with Bruce Bowman, who sent me this way last spring...i still run a 5 stock portfolio using a 26 wk relative strength scan of the value line #1 stock...i buy the 1st 5 stocks that come thru on the aiq report and rebalance it each quarter...i had spent 2 to 3 yrs looking at this strategy and going back using database of ndx and top 50 s&pstocks to see how it worked since 1994...when i check it against the use of vl#1's i was struck by the decrease in volatility...so after running monthly data on vl#1 since jan with monthly rebalance i put my money down on 4th oct ...buying qcom, bmcs, vtss, orcl,& ttn...the first week i found myself down about 20% 2nd bmcs worry about intl rev...i was very nervous with a loss almost days after entering...but this has happened to me so often in my trading days that i just decided to grin and wait ...last night qcom up 235%, ttn 170%, and orcl 137%...what is funny is that i had never heard o f ttn...titan something...this is pure momentum and tech...most of my portf is lt and i aim my ira now 2nd to taxes...now i must follow the strategy and wait to rebalance in jan...the next quarter...doing both a monthly and quarterly rebalance would have kept you in qcom since last jan...enought...bj
