GM, don't feel bad you can't understand stock values or C3D.

The problem is you took the wrong kind of math in school. You probably took the old-fashioned kind, which might be used at the grocery store to pay your bills (or maybe to build commodity-type products like disk drives).

But that's not the kind of math used on Wall Street. They really know how to add things up.

CDDDE (which is apparently having some kind of problem filing their financial report with the SEC) is worth at least a billion dollars.

Remember, the mantra on Wall Street is: a stock is worth what it's selling for.

Regards,

Larry

GM, Sam;

<<Value investors are fools and I'm one of them.<g> CMGI is a good example with a target of 3 times net asset value. Since CMGI owns shares of mostly overvalued companies, that triples the overvaluation. Compare to BRK, which I own.>>

<<In the realm of amazing facts: C3D closed today at 91 3/4. It has a market value in excess of $1.3 billion, more than twice the valuation of either HDD or Maxtor. Whew! I think I'm going to out, get a shell company, and build a bridge to the moon.>>

All well and good observations guys. However, I am still trying to get over the fact that Fruit-Of-The-Loom BK'd this week. The world will just not be the same. Ach, the new millenium and the new economy! What other terrible surprises do you hold?

<g>
Best,
Stitch

Hi Gottfried!

The comment about CMGI is particularly fascinating in light
of the fact that (traditionally) closed end mutual funds/
investment trusts have been valued by the market at share values LESS than the sum total of their assets!

It's a different world when the big MO is King!

Best wishes,
Jim
