Big

Thanks for the response on FGH. I understand it a lot better now. Did you see the other part of my message to Bull about deepwater platforms? What is going to be needed for deepwater production and is anything being built now? I assume the MMS is still sitting on FPSO approval in the GOM.
Do these multi-million $ deepwater projects proceed without some reasonably firm idea of the type of production platform that will be needed if successful and when that platform would be available?

TIA,
John

Where is the 'Delete' Button when you really need it?

We can't allow this type information to be posted or go unchallenged:

Hastings FGH/IR: "The level of inquiries we are experiencing now both on the off-shore energy side as well as commercial maritime is as high as it has been in years." Message 12341706

Some poor, innocent victim who might stumble onto this message board may become confused and start to think for themselves. They might even think some of those shipyards and fabricators on the GOM may get some b'nez. You know that part left over after the 'Korean' invasion. They might even come to think - ole JL might be a world class deal maker, not an order taker. Demand for FPSOs, Double HULL, and deep water semi-submersible construction and retrofit looming over the next decade and all those NOT so idle shipyards and fabricators on the GOM.. Ole JL just might know what he is doing, AGAIN! Buying Halter for peanuts is World Class Deal making, the order taking is left for less talented minions, one of which who just bagged a contract in Korea's backyard and another who just landed a deal in Australia (both are a fair distance from the GOM, wouldn't you say?).

What happened to the BigDog of yester-year. The one who was direct and easy to understand? Just a tip ole Buddy, you are starting to sound Clinton/Slider-esque (the practice of talking out of both sides the mouth, so later the chosen version can be pasted after an event has transpired) in your equivocating pontifications. Examples --

FGH Credibility: Message 12430148

Order Takers? Investor/Customer Confidence - Explain this:
"- hell, it could be a double in a few days." Message 12408725

"Can it go lower? Maybe, but I think the risk reward is favorable at this time. Are there others in the oil patch that will move higher, faster? Probably. But FGH could easily move to the high teens after tax loss selling and with a nice dose of the January effect" Message 12199396

BOTTOM LINE: Big, I just don't understand how you can say: they are just order takers with an investor/customer confidence problem and then state FGH might double next week, and could easily move into the high teens and in the same sentence indicate others in the Patch will 'probably' move higher and faster. What happened to the specificity
you used to be noted for? How about naming some of these rockets that are on the launch pad?

How do you reconcile the above statements with this one?
"Mark the word of the Dog, there is business out there and FGH is gearing up to snag it. With that said, FGH is likely dead as door nail money for some time. But the business is coming.
Message 11967703

And what happened to this BigDog? - "I have been loyal to FGII through thick and thin." . I guess what I don't understand is how you can be so bullish at 31 and so relatively neutral below 7. I thought the name of the game was to buy low and sell high. As usual, I probably got it backwards. >g<
