Tragedy struck in the Spud household last night, as the Tooth Fairy FORGOT TO COME. Senior tater made her appearance this morning with tears streaming down her face, choking out the story. Mercifully, there were mitigating circumstances. She had made a new clay holder for the teeth, which she had gone to sleep clutching in her hand. The tooth had fallen out -- so she wasn't certain that it hadn't been taken. While she sobbed in Mommy's arms, Dad palmed a dollar and suggested we take another look. Sure enough, the fairy had been there after all. Smiles. If my investing screw ups could only be fixed as easily.
