I have avoided discussing hedging strategies until now since the trend was so obviously down. It still appears that is the case, but the easy money has been made IMO.

One additional hedging strategy that has not been discussed is the possibility of writing puts against your short position. One can sell a number of puts up to the amount of your short position to "lock-in" your profit.

Other strategies are dependent on your position and objective.
