I'm moving over to Watley. I already have an account there and they give good service; get back to you in a reasonable time frame and try to help you. MSDW is too big and impersonal. MSDW does a reasonable job but I didn't get any IPOs(0 for 2); I have a good sized account with them and they make a bundle off me on margin interest.

Good Luck,

GC

The rates go up April 1, 2000 for all former Discover customers. Someone posted earlier that MSDW said that the rate hike may be reconsidered.

We'll they should consider quick. Ameritrade told me the best way to do a partial shift in an IRA is to shift into MM first and then give instructions to Lombard, I mean Discover, I mean MSDW! to wire your bucks to Ameritrade. Otherwise it takes about 8 weeks to do a partial shift if it starts from Ameritrades end.

BTW, Discover, I mean MSDW, just signed me up for a free year on Barrons on line. That was a nice gesture on their part but they are going to have to start showing more value to substantiate $30 commissions.
