Qualcomm has developed CDMA as the "new" standard for wireless Cell Phone use - in the face of formidable competition from the European GSM standard (Ericsson & Nokia) and the TDMA US standard (AT & T/Lucent/Motorola). DSP Communications has developed a CDMA chip set under license from Qualcomm and is now in production on this chip set. Intel acquired DSP Communications in October/November and has renewed the CDMA license from Qualcomm. See below.
