Although I am not familiar with a quantity of applications that would require operating in a 500 deg C environment...

Also oil well monitoring equipment.

Re. Market size.... I agree that the SiC applications are many, and that it's a great product. However, I have yet to see anyone come up with a single 'mass market'. Hopefully all these niches add up to mass market, but even then, it's a quantum leap from making a couple hundred million pentium chips all the same to a whole bunch of totally different chips for varied applications isn't it?? Even the internal combustion engine... how many are used now, any idea anyone?

Don't get me wrong here, I'm long Cree, and think it's got a long way to go, but I would like to learn more about what markets the company sees as being decent size in the near future.... I mean 'spacecraft & power plants' aren't going to cut it.

I'm very excited about the LED's however.
