I think it's a little to early....although it would certainly appear thus far that I was wrong - an admission that an ex-bear like yourself can only insinuate in private or through PM. I'm happy to be wrong. I didn't lose anything in preparing. I certainly didn't make the corresponding suicidal move in spirit: I always hoped for the best and still do. Our preparation was merely precautionary. The food, water and firewood we bought will be utilized and save us an expense this year.

Yes, I can call you an ex-bear if your day trading internet stocks on the long side. In retrospect, it is easy to say that the best way to have maximized profit in regard to the blue chip internet stocks was to let go of the bearish fundamental feelings and just hold and buy all the dips. Otherwise one can get pretty whipsawed, Whipsaw! Some things never change, I suppose. Maybe that's why we have all these day traders now: they know that the bubble could burst at any moment and they need to maintain their sanity after the market closes. Buying some insurance or puts is another option if you decide you can't sleep at night.
