they are competing more against EACH OTHER than they are against local retailers.

I have to agree with you here. They are competing against each other. Almost none of the advertising seems to target agains buying at brick and mortar stores. I know that would be negative advertising but that has becom common the last five years.


I do not believe the sales tax will kill internet retailing. And if it doesn't, then I am confident AMZN will be a survivor.


Sales tax will not kill internet retailing as you say. I am not sure I agree with the survivor, however. We have been over that:-))
