Thanks. I've been meaning to check them out.

Psion just released a new appliance called the Series 7 (kind of a larger version of their Series 5) which is not yet available in the US. It works with a GSM phone or a CDMA modem card. 2 pounds 8 ounces, with a heck of a screen and a great keyboard and priced under $1,000. Recently saw an American using it with a Motorola GSM WorldPhone and a US Omnipont subscription at Orly to participate in a message board discussion and I was fascinated.

Sure beats attempting to use a mobile phone to surf or do e-mail. Also beats lugging a laptop around the world for remedial tasks.
