Heinz, people in the states are increasingly getting into variable-rate mortgages in order to afford their new (low-quality) brick and mortar houses. These guys are now trapped like rats and are going to see rises in their monthly payments. Of course they can always sell a few stocks or borrow even more from Ditech (125% mortgages).

NDX gapped up about the same percentage as Asian Markets gained last night. I'm boxed for now. I'm glad to see HHH is up more than NDX, I was beginning to get concerned.

So it's raise interest rates -- increase monetary base for now.
