Well... the NASDAQ may be piling on this morning, but the fact that we will not have a recession due to Y2K is more bullish for the oil that greases the machine than for high multiple stocks. These high fliers are a perfect setup for a crash now that people can take tax year 2000 profits and now that interest rates are gradually going up (which really limits the allowable multiple for a given earnings growth rate.) Interest rates don't seem to be retracing, mainly due to the the fact that the Fed will no doubt have to reduce the money supply it has inflated for Y2K reasons. Oil demand will *have* to go up as world economies ratchet up growth. This is a safe bet, made only safer now that the millennium bug seems to have been solved successfully.

Picks? Analysis? Contribution?

Happy new year, Cliffie. So what have you got for us this morning? Care to stick your neck out and make a call, or are you "pros" just gonna sit in the bleachers for a while longer? ;-)

Razor

o/t Postal Patrol; re: "how do I feel" ?

... usually with both hands.

thank you for the warm & fuzzies - don't you know that sticks & stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me - because I am an inhuman bastard, cold, calculating and totally emotionless; with no moral conscious (VBG) ?

Didn't you read Princess di's, or Cosmo's commentary ?

E&P's offering a buy on the dip opp on warm weather , nat gas softness - buy it old fogey one... sit for PXd on a break sub $8, UPR here - sit to load tic under $12, EOG any break sub $16, NBL low $20's-load $19's, OEI if it see's the $6's again, XTO sub $8 1/4 - load up & enjoy... small caps CRK RRC TMR MEXP - hey, still got MEXP ?

- if Nat Gas holds $2.30 - this retrace will be a silver platter dessert tray.
