Yes that sounds smart--but to open a new account with margin and options you may need to move a substantial amount--and then send a check--well I just want to move my holdings--I fear there's no way to do it super fast

But I do agree its best to have two accounts open and the second one ready and then move

Dealer,

I was just about to open my Fidelity account when I read your post. I'm currently at Schwab, but they don't allow speculative options trading in an IRA. I want to move my IRAs somewhere that does. Any other suggestions by you or anyone else out there?
