NASDAQ vs. AMEX

stevomarsh,

The clear advantage to a Nasdaq move would be more volume and being where the Modern Capitalist Mavericks hang out. I think the stock would trade higher there.......get a technology premium.

The downside, is that we would not get mentions as often on the Nightly Business Report. Kangus always mentions the largest percentage gainer from the AMEX each day.

I would be happy to give up the Kangus days, however......

If you want to find a date....it is best to hang out where the girls are.

We have often questioned why IDX has not made the move......but feel that the new CEO of IDX will look at it. I think many of the younger IDX managers would support the move.....especially the ones holding lots of stock and options.

The resolution of the Ascom shares would be another very positive structural development........and of course a spin off of the Bio-ID division would be huge.

Change is good.

Stevo, I definitely agree with you & Brad that a NASDAQ listing for IDX would most likely result in much more interest & activity - leading to higher volume & higher prices. Although, it would be an unusual move.
Do you agree? However, since the NASDAQ is getting all the limelight lately, maybe a move such as this will become more common.
