Cirrus - See other posts I've made recently to get my take on the launch volume thing. I can't say anymore than what's in those posts. As far as the Chipmerchant thing goes, I don't have any visibility or answer. There are plenty of listings on pricewatch.

If it's as bad as you all say it is, why isn't Intel warning about earnings or something?

<No one also predicted that Intel would SIGNIFICANTLY lower the standards of their launches.

Pricewatch doesn't have any listing for Intel 750 or 800MHz processors. It has been over two weeks since their launch.

The Chip Merchant STILL doesn't have the PIII 733 listed for sale. This processor has been "out" for over two months. store.yahoo.com >

No kidding. Intel actually used to be good example for world class product launches in this industry. Lot of companies have made product in distribution as a check off item at launch to have an Intel-like reputation. It is funny how fast things have changed.

I guess that means HP, Gateway and Dell do not buy their CPUs from The Chipmerchant.
