Seems a very rational point of view. Maybe he thinks he can go down as the man responsible for the prosperity and economic reform....!!

But then again, he would be the last to know he failed...!!!!

Excellent point JXM,

I think I feel better with Greenie in there. Clinton was the first democrat (president) that he worked with. He declined Carters offer (I think). Maybe he's counting on a Republican coming into office?

Anyway, if I saw the economy about to hit the fan I'd skip to Bermuda for a while.

Of course, we haven't counted on the fact that he may have a conscious and be one of those martyr types...

Nah, Bermuda it would be.
