Timna will have require Rambus for adequate performance in 2H 2000. If they use the MTH hub its performance will be slower than VIA's celeron clone. Willamette will have 2 rambus channels on chip - and whenever it comes out q4 2000-1H 2001 may be crippled if Rambus is a BUST. IMHO these are pretty exciting products for Intel for near term revenue - while itanium will get lots of press but revenues in Yr1 will be small. If you have a large percentage of assets in Intel (as i believe u do) you should at least be concerned. And it is way too early to assume that Intel has put its 99 screw ups behind it. regards, Kash Johal
