If this is the 'January effect', I'm disappointed. <g>

<< But I still think the tech stocks are going to have huge orders starting now for all the software and hardware upgrades/enhancements that were postponed due to Y2K fears. Profits should be incredible this year. >>

Agreed. Lots of new products will be announced this quarter and that will generate a lot of excitement.

Dear Kevin: Maybe I am wrong, but from my viewpoint this entire market "correction?" is contrived. Economy is strong, interest rates IN REALITY are probably about as high as they are going to get (I am talking the long bond not the Fed Rate), there is STILL no proof inflation is going to soar, orders are strong across the board at least in the Tech area. The ONLY negative I see, and it is admittedly potentially serious, is that the Fed likely will begin to sop up liquidity which had been made available for potential y2k problems. IF people continue to put their money into the equity mutual funds I think that can be overcome. So that is the key so far as I am concerned in the immediate future. In summary, give me ONE MORE DAY of a big downside like we had today and I will begin buying more, luckily THIS TIME I have a nice cash hoard to bargain with. JDN
