The "January Effect" is really the Nov-Jan effect (see my study) -- so we're really all quite happy! Wasn't the November-December run-up wonderful? Maybe not for SUNW, since it's in consolidation mode, but surely the NASDAQ Nov-Dec run-up was wonderful! I'm out of January Effect mode now, though. Today was too indicative of a major re-evaluation by "the professionals" who do 80% of the trading in the marketplace. If you have a tiny bit of conservatism in you, or if you're retired or near retirement, it's a good time to switch some money into cash (as I did today). Kevin Farnham
