This is off subject sort of. Via Tech. recently bought 14.9% of S3 and stands to do well with the opening of China.
There are a couple of News items floating around.
1. China expects to go Linux on internet development.
2 China expects to ban MS2000.
3. I think that there was some additional articles indicating that they would try to run on their own CPU's not Intel.. (It stand to reason, I think)

Via Tech (TAIEX: 2388) seems to be in a good position for developments as they have chipset and cpu capability.
My question to you (DB) is: do we have access to Via stock?

doesnt this sort of thing make ALSC more attractive?
