Hello Dan, I don't want to get in a battle of scripture quoting. It's an area I'm lacking in and I'm sure you are very knowledgeable. I still want to know, if Christ thought that following the letter of the law to the point of splitting hairs, (like the Pharisees did) why didn't he write some stuff himself? There is still the unanswered question as to what the faithful did before we had a bible. It is evident to me He intended to institute a sacramental religion.
