PCLN: There are essentially two distinct types of high fliers. There are those that sold off through most of December then ran up at the very end into January. Then there are those that climbed out of November, climbed all the way through December and got chopped down in January.

PCLN is one of the former types. . . as is NTOP, PHCM, EBAY, AMZN, NXTL, ATHM, LQID, CIEN. . . some to a lesser degree than others.

I have been shying away from these types. . . it is simply hard for me to imagine that fund managers selected these in a big way in the fall, but failed to buy them right through Nov/December's strong bull market.

PCLN performed poorly in Nov / Dec except for when? During times of Holidility and news. I prefer those that are performing well on days without news or holidility.

Thanks
