The rumor of this came out around the time Yahoo! offered their free service.

I wonder if the market will ignore it. Who knows?

It isn't worthy of comment. What do you think it implies? It is rather embarrassing. Is that all the company can do, run a rear guard action by laying down counter fire to prevent from being overrun? Makes things appear worse than we imagined, but confirms our fears about third rate management. Bell should be SOSed.
