Are y'all taking any sidebets on the over/under 100,000 subs in 2000 matter?

Everyone,

I agree with the issues raised by yesterday's ML note, those are good questions/issues. I changed my mind about GSTRF (given today's valuation and the risk/reward calculation in my mind) and sold all my shares the past 3 days.

The technology (LEO, CDMA, ground-switching) is great, G's partners are great, management is very good. The issue is demand at over $1/minute. Looking at Iridium's 50,000 subs (same pricing now as G) I have doubts.

Also, I don't think all investors understand what they own given the LP setup. The market cap of GSTRF is already at over $10 billion (over 255 million shares outstanding fully diluted given certain operating goals). I no longer feel I have a good grasp of the risk/reward situation so I said bye-bye to the shares (all bought Dec/99).

If minutes were offered at under 50 cents per minutes I would view the demand situation very differently.

Let me know why I should buy GSTRF back, short it, or do nothing. I am completely neutral at this point.

Re : did any of you actually listen to the call that was so roundly claimed to be upbeat??...

YES. That is part of the reason I have been aggressively accumulating more G* shares since then.

Did you listen to the call ?

Jon.
