The Lucent news is HUGE imho. It's a bellweather of the techs/networkers. With 230 bil in market cap it'll make a sizeable dent in the indexes by itself. Closed around 68, I'd say it'll probably open at 50 or less.

Any guesses?

LU is part of the S&P 500 no doubt, but it's traded on the NYSE since it's ticker is less than 4 letters. This will only effect the Nasdaq 100 index indirectly.

In after hours trading it looks like it's between 55-60 depending upon what news/people you believe.
