I am certainly NOT an expert on market moves, (We have Voltaire for that.) But, perhaps the LU news will get this carnage over with, get us to the bottom quickly so we can move on.

You and I agree. The LU news is LU news. It is NOT a bad reflection on comm buildout. It is good news for us Gorilla hunters because the stocks we own are NOT subject to the problems that LU is facing.

In fact, the problems LU is facing (demand for DWDM) is good damn news for us.

Reading between the lines, LU wasn't agile enough to transition their product offering in time for the market's demand. That's the reason I expect Cisco will be the victor in the voip convergence battle - they're quick on their feet. As one analyst said,

In the old days, the big ate the small.
In today's world, the quick eat the slow.
