Well Bill, you are pushing 50 aren't you? Why don't YOU pay for the elderly then.

As I posted to Neocon once, my reality of the elderly is a 62-year old neighbor who lives in a 1.5mm house (which she paid aboutr 60K for), pays less than $1000. in property taxes (for the same house I'd pay 13K) and complains all day about her dental program while my employees have no dental plan. Meanwhile, I'm paying in the thousands for medicare in a good year and walking over homeless people on my way to work. So expend all the goodwill towards this group you want. I've got a whole list of better recipients for my charity.

My father-in-law was with the Allied Expeditionary Force from North Africa to demobilization, almost 4 years. It is true that he worked most of the time at SHAEF, but he did so during the Blitz, so the rear was not so safe anyway. No one could ever have fully repaid him for the time he served away from his family.......
