In 2 years when COVD has a zillion customers all making their monthly payments (split with the ISP, of course), they will have a ton of revenue and the ramp up costs will no longer be there. Then they will be profitable. This is definitely a long-term proposition, but not real long-term. I don't know what will be this week for COVD, but I feel very good about the co. 1 or 2 years from now.

I originally ordered Pac Bell DSL. After 3 months and no install, I was told that I was in the wrong area. DSL would not work. So, I called up a Covad ISP advertising DSL. Within a couple of weeks, Pac Bell was out doing their part of the install (from the pole to my house). A week later, COVD was out doing their part. COVD will take a very good share of this market, grabbing the brass ring from the stupid RBOC's or whatever they are called these days.

If this stock ever tumbles with the market, I will be buying more.
