Ted,

The day before yesterday, AMD closed at $30 even. Yesterday it gained 1/2 on steady volume up to the end of NYSE trading. The additional gain of $1.50 in afterhours was not real (as witnessed by early day trading this morning). So, a close today at $32 will represent a $2 gain in the last two days due to the Gateway, HP, and 800 Mhz Athlon news. Those three things should have been worth more like $4 to $5, but the simultaneous drop in Intel of $5, and associated market conditions, suppressed the gain. In the end, no "good news" other than stronger than expected earnings will really move this stock.

AMD -- the "Show Me Stock".

Pravin.
