Lucent's problem is short-lived. The only thing they need to do is to scale down non-optical networking business and to expand their optical networking business. For this part, NT is doing/planning much better. Using this dip to buy lucent-the world leader in optical networking DWDM system.

I definitely understand your point and others. Lucent needs to continue to perform. If McGinn keeps slipping through the remainder of the fiscal year he will be in trouble. I wouldn't be pissed for one bad quarter. A bad year is another story !
