I think you are making several potentially disastrous errors in your investing approach.

You are right... concentration pays the ultimate price in terms of downside risk.
I appreciate your concern. That is why I lightened up on DELL. DELL made the fortune, and as I sell, I pay an incredible price in capital gains. I don't need the money, so I let it ride. Half of the shares are in the name of my daughter anyways. She is 13 and won't need it until then.

I really don't want to follow 15 different stocks. If I wanted mutual fund type returns, I would invest in a mutual fund.
