If I have fears for the future, I suppose they are more to do with the losses that life inevitably brings, what I'll be called upon to endure. Will I see my children grown, hold my grandchildren, watch those I love suffer? Boredom somehow seems low on the worries scale.
But I do understand how you read it- I wonder who the author of the quote was- and how old. And how it all turned out!
