Portfolio Perspective:
To put the Zport's 2000 performance in perspective:
Janus Global Technology fund, + 200% in 1999, is -5.95% YTD
Putnam Voyager II, + 80% or so in 1999, is -5% YTD
and the Health Care fund, that was flat for '99, is + 5% in 2000. gotta love it. larry

hi ron
thank you for helping me with some guidelines with the portfolio. i really enjoy the Z threads and the posters here so i thought i would like to contribute.
teva develops, manufactures and markets generic and branded human pharmaceuticals. in the past six weeks they have announced the following:
-exclusive U S marketing rights for generic equivalent of cardizem CD. 12 month U S sales exceed 650m.
-teva received fda approval to manufacture generic version of antidepressant wellbutrin. annual sales approx 110m.
-has signed letter of intent to acquire novopharm ltd. novopharm had 9 month sales ending sept 30/99 of 298m U S. this gives teva estimated 21% of canadian generic prescription pharmaceutical sales.
this news is probably already factored into todays price but i believe that the increased revenues will continue to fuel the co stock price.
also the latest wall street transcript of the drug delivery sector rates teva management the smartest in the generic drug sector.
from a technical standpoint all my signals show buy except the 20 day boll bands.

i certainly could go on and i will provide more info if needed but i believe from a ta standpoint the short term price movement upward should continue.

i purchased teva in my own account @ 70 1/2 on friday am. i would be happy to either wait until the portfolio is down to 20 stocks and then revisit my dd or sponsor the stock for 200 shares at either my buy price on friday or i will look for an entry point tomorrow am.

i will appreciate any input you can give me.
regards charlie
