May be the future will show you were right, but honestly I doubt, and even if Rambus does 2000% in Y2000 you'll never get 200 000 dollars for 1000 $ invested (which would represent an increase of 20 000%) :-).
But anyway I am ready to assume and announce the "bad news" to my wife if this ever happens.
Good investments too all.

OTOT
But I do believe that we are in a market dominated by very unsophisticated, superstitious, and gullible investors who will take a stock to ridiculous levels on the merest hint of potential.

How true. Friday's recovery is indicative. YHOO, QCOM, JDAS, CSCO and NT went up at least 10% yesterday and they didn't earn an additional nickle or announce higher earnings. One will have to become conditioned to 10-20% per day binges of profit taking and relief rallies. The question is do we get bigger/more frequent rallies or declines. THe average investor should understand at these P/E's it's mostly speculation.

MM,

Re: never say never

Along with your scenario of good news on top of good news throw in the low float and high short position.

Real strong demand to own a piece of Rambus could move this one big time.

Or maybe it'll just double or triple this year instead.
