Microdrive can hold around 100 songs. Unless you sort these songs in your computer before download, you have to start from the first to the last one by one. For example, you want to listen to 52nd song. there is no function to jump to 52nd song. You have to start from where you are. When you turn on the player, it starts with first. you have to push forward button 52 times. I don't think this kind function needed for flash memory card which can hold 1- 2 hour or 10 to 20 songs, but necessary for microdrive. I hope this helps.
