Brian, I asked you why Adam did not die when God told him he would die the day he ate the fruit. It is quite obvious that you are not able to provide an answer to the question, so you accuse me of listening to the devil. The serpent told Eve that SHE would not die but, said nothing to Adam. Why do you not just admit that you can not substantiate your strange beliefs? When you are stumped, all you can do is say the devil made someone disagree with you. Your arguments are weak!! I do not believe that God would choose someone, who is so ineffective, to represent Him. You just can not abide for someone to disagree with your puny attempts at controlling the beliefs of others, can you? So, you bluster and fume, as if that will make you more believeable. You must think, erroneously of course, that none on us have any intelligence at all. That is very prideful. You should be ashamed of yourself. False pride is a sin, you know. --haqi

Greetings Brian and all who love the Lord Jesus Christ, I still plan to address our previous discussion as I had promised but I am not quite ready. I would like to briefly comment on your response as shown, <<< That snake of old told Eve ( she was still called Adam at the time and had not yet fallen into "independent" thinking so-called. ) that she could eat and not die >>> Prior to the Fall of man Adams helper was called " Woman " denoting of who " she was ". It was after the Fall of Man she was called Eve, denoting of what " she did " ( Gen 3:20 ). <<< Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likenes and let them have dominion over ...>>> God is a Spirit and man was made in His Image as a spirit being. According to 1Thess.5:23., " Now may the God of peace Himself santify you entirely, and may your spirit , soul and body be preserved complete..............>>>. Man is tri-partite, spirit , soul and body. When God breathed into man the breathe of life, it was mans " spirit " ( Not Holy Spirit )that was given to man. When this spirit came into contact with his body , the dust of the ground, mans soul was produced. The breathe of life became mans spirit. We must be carefull not to confuse the Holy Spirit and mans spirit. Romans 8 :16 states thier differences, " it is the Spirit ( God )Himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are the Children of God. ". This breath of life we receive gives us life , Job 33:4 " and the breath of the Almighty gives me life ". Must go for supper Brian , will hopefully talk with you later. Greetings Brian, Further to your previous post; <<< Let US refers to the Father and SON... but it does not refer to angels or any otherCREATED BEING... indeed God gave DOMINION over the other creatures of fleshto MAN! >>> I respectfully must disagree with this statement Brian, since it violates the very integrity of the Holy Scriptures. " US " refers to the triune personality of Almighty God, that being, Father , Son and Holy Spirit. Do you believe in the triune God as revealed in scriptures?. <<< Gen 2:Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt SURELY(BV) die.>>> I believe the scriptures teach that Adam did die spiritually that day and physical death which was the consequence of his sin followed years plus later. Spiritual death brought about the severing of his relationship with His Creator. He found his identity and meaning to his existence via this relationship. When he rebelled against God and sinned , he immediately saw his " true " condition , he then was left to find the meaning for his existence in things " created " , which is a lesson in futility which I hope we all have learned. Fallen man has a " spirit " dead to God, a soul ( his self conciouness ) , and a " body. Christians are those who God has made alive in their spirits from this eternal separation from Himself and placed within our spirits the Divine nature or as the Bible calls it Eternal life. We enjoy a living relationship with our Creator and now find our meaning to our existence worshipping and serving our Great God and Saviour , Jesus Christ.
