steve - <do you think AMD will repeat it's past or is it different this time?>

How in the heck should I know?

I do know I'm more impressed with Intels long term product roadmap than I am AMD's. And I'm sure as heck more impressed with Intel's process technology roadmaps.

I do beleive AMD at the moment has a highly competitive position now relative to mid range and high end consumer desktop. Once Willamette comes out this year, it remains to be seen if the "seventh generation Athlon" can keep up with Inte'ls seventh generation offerings. And in the interim, I believe Coppermine will give Athlon a run for its money.

Does anyone out there still think 800 is the top for Cumine?

PB

This time it is different...outeL is repeating and amplifying on AMD's past.

steve, not to be rude but how would PB know? Probably the best person to ask is Sanders, and as a second choice his administrative assis't, and even then, I wouldn't go to the bank with the answer.
