INTEL Problems /w Coppermine chips.Hewlett Packard says!

JC May remember me talking to him about low Benchmark scores i was getting with a Hewlett Packard PC that was just Purchased with a Intel 733 coppermine a few weeks ago.
Anyway i found the Problem and it could be a big one.HP sent a Hardware diagnostic prog for the system,and part of the L2 Cache on the chip was bad,not only in this one but all 4 systems that was purchased just before Christmas.
After running their Hardware Diagnostic prog and giving them a call back,they had said they was getting a lot of these with the Coppermine systems.All the PC's is scheduled to be shipped back to them Monday for fixing.

Thought i would pass this along.

PB. So you confirm that Intel indeed has a yield problem in that 100% eludes them?
Well, there are yields problems and yield problems. They may be able to get a high yield of slow CPUs, but if they tweak it to shift it faster they get more speed but a lot less that work due to the voltage gradient?
This is in line with what is out there. Lots of slow parts, few quick ones. An intractable problem as the scatter effect puts a lid on speeds.
