Eric,

We don't have to politely disagree.

Such a shame. I guess I've only got Frank to pick on. Poor fella. :)

Mike,

<< << As for AOL, it's neither a King nor a Prince as you suggest. It's a Godzilla >>

An update or rememberance ...

Back on April 8, the good Uncle and I were "debating" <g> the classification of AOL. Remember that Geoff had not yet started using the term Godzilla. I told Frank:

"I think Curbstone described AOL (and Yahoo) perfectly. I will consequently stop trying to classify them further. The four horsemen are easy. The "Internets" a whole new species that will probably be the subject of Geoffrey's next book. <g>"

Frank agreed, and it appears I was a bit prophetic but I still like Curbstone's (Aloha Mike's) description in post # 1215:

"They are some bizarre type of hybrid, I think they resemble a winged, flying gorilla wearing a crown and tutu, swinging a little wand with little sparkly dollar-signs coming out."

... but you are correct. Since Geoff has coined a new word in his ongoing endeavors ... tis a Godzilla.

Actually, I coined the new word (Godzilla) on the GG email list. Geoff just decided to use it. (not that I'm bitter about no acknowledge in the NewFM or anything!):-)
