Somebody asked (probably on the G&K thread)how big can the blue LED business be? I dug around in the SIA data and it appears that the total colored LED business exceeds $300 million per quarter. It's hard to tell since it is not defined by visible color but rather application. I think it is safe to assume that the market for blue LEDs could be 1/3 of the total. That infers a market potential in the $400 million range at the device level. Looks like CREE has some room to grow. Fatboy
