Michael Murphy ought to give up on market timing and stick to the recommendation of tech stocks. Everytime he zigs, he should be zagging. In 1998, every time he thought the market was going down he bought puts on the S & P 500 and he lost each time. Now, to get a better ranking with the Hulbert Digest, he's taken to cleaning out his portfolio every time he thinks the market is going to tank. So far, with this new strategy, he's 0 for 2.
