Re:"Intel fundamentals cannot be any better."

Agreed. Their execution in the past 8 months has had some weirdness but they would have to be voted the company most likely to recover from a series of screwups. Assuming that they can execute their current plans and avoid the fumbles they were prone to recently their future is very bright. And the side issue is that a modicum of success from AMD will keep the lunatics in the Government off their case. I'm sure that those lunatics will look for something else to toy with after they succeed in breaking up Microsoft.

Mary - <On that, I have good confidence that Intel financial management will find some way to snatch PR defeat out of the jowls of victory <gggg>.

Mary, I've been following your critiques of our esteemed Finance Poo-Bah for quite a while.

All's I'd better say is, I hope not! <G>

Mary, RE: Somewhere I read this morning, he is calling for Intel to meet earnings and revenue estimates. (He is not calling for beating of estimates). $8B and .63 are terrific numbers and do not have to be exceeded for knockout earnings report.

Actually, his report this morning stated that "We believe Q4 will show both solid revenues of over $8B and EPS of at least $0.63."

So although he didn't change his official numbers, he clearly expects higher revenues and EPS.
