...I've fallen and I can't reach the "sell" button.... Hottest day I have ever seen in Biotech today. Perhaps we have H&Q to thank for it. Small Wonders (with its leftover SI screwed-up my sell post position in ARIA) does not do too badly, although I think the mid-market Biotechs had most of the fun. I was in and out of INCY and MAXY a couple of times today. I did sell TLRK too soon. ARIA itself went up 40+% (which we probably would have counted as a round trip for the trader types) so I'm just waiting for that one to hit target. siliconinvestor.com Up 19.2% for the day. Now about EPPH. When I first put it in a few days ago it was at 2 bucks and change and happy to see a few kiloshares a day change hands. I never took the time to actually move money around in the model portfolio to buy any however, so there it sits as just a mile marker. I notice VD is in today at 5 and change and its up another 20%. Now it is at around 7 and as busy as an LA Freeway. So reluctantly (slacker) I have to remove it from the portfolio never having had the time to actually take a "real" position for the portfolio before it lit up. I will leave a share in as a reminder. Sniff. I am thinking of a new thread and model portfolio devoted to the biotechs around 2-10 bucks if there is an interest. A lot of our LTAB crowd has moved to there by run-up and I think later on in the year (like next week would be fine) the market will go beyond the usual suspects and run up based on good news and results. A model portfolio would be fun to watch. As I promised, I'm adding options to LTAB. April 65 GENZ calls at 1 3/4. I also have a couple of out-of favor med device outfits that I may bring in after some DD. If I put them in you have to promise not to buy any until the portfolio does. Yeah right.
